Meet the Board
The Christ Classical Academy School Board is an integral part of the successful functioning of our school. The members carry the responsibility of governing the school so that it will be a safe environment for students to mature spiritually, personally, and academically. We look forward to seeing the fruit of their hard work and dedication to our school.
Rick Clark, Board Chair
Rick and his wife Laura have 3 boys (Eric, Hudson, and Jeremy), all at CCA. Rick has been an active parent at the academy since 2008. Rick and Laura have been members at StoneBridge Church Community (Presbyterian Church in America) since 2001, where they are small group leaders and Sunday school teachers. Rick is employed as an IT Architect at IBM. He has a BS from Bellevue University.
Janet Ballard, Head of School, Board Member
Janet’s life mission is to serve Jesus and expand his kingdom by teaching young minds of His love for them. She has 2 daughters, Elizabeth and Rebekah, who are both CCA graduates. Janet earned her Ph.D. from Columbia International University in December 2017. As Head of School, her term limit coincides with her employment.
Rodney Kennerly, Board Member
Rodney Kennerly is a husband and father who resides in Mint Hill with his wife, Jennifer, two boys, a baby girl due in December 2020, and the family dog Memphis. He loves date nights with his wife, enjoys fishing and kayaking with his kids, leading a middle school boys Youth Group at church, and coaching youth soccer. Rodney graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has spent the last 20 years working in healthcare/medical sales. He is currently leading a middle school Youth Group at his church, coached youth soccer for the past 6 years, and spent 20+ years playing drums in a church worship band. His kids have attended Back Creek Christian Academy since 2017.
Patti Faber, Board Member
Patti and her husband Dave joined Back Creek Presbyterian ARP in 2006, where they are involved with the Children’s Ministry and a Bible Study group, among other ministries. Patti has been an Accountant at Arrowpoint Capital (formerly Royal Insurance) for more than 23 years. Patti has a BS degree in Accounting from West Chester University and has been a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) for more than 20 years.
Matt Liebler, Board Member
Matt and his wife Jenny have three kids, Caroline, Matthew, and Mary Elizabeth. Matt is a partner at Reiferson Miller & Dee PLC whose practice primarily focuses on commercial real estate finance. He regularly represents banks, loan servicers, agency lenders, life companies, institutional lenders, finance companies, investors, and borrowers in commercial real estate transactions. He is a graduate of Montreat College in Montreat, NC, and Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, VA.
Stephen Vullo, Board Member
Stephen and his wife Jennessa have three young boys and reside in east Charlotte. They attend Eastside Church where Stephen serves as a trustee for the church, as well as a small group leader. He served as a missionary in Latin America for several years and was a part of the church plant team from Charleston, SC that started Eastside Church. Stephen has his BS in Mechanical Engineering from UNC Charlotte and currently works in the energy industry.
Steve Ouellette. Board Member
Steve and his wife Meghan reside in Harrisburg with their three children (Caroline, Kelsey, & Harrison) who are students at CCA. They have been members at Grace Church (Presbyterian Church in America) for several years where Steve serves as the guitarist in the praise band. Steve is currently a Senior Portfolio Manager at TIAA and has been helping individuals, families, and institutions manage wealth for over 20 years. He has a B.A. degree from the University of Rhode Island and holds an M.B.A. from the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, an Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠ designee, and he has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® professional designation. Steve coaches youth sports and is an advanced Krav Maga DTS student.
